CALIFORNIA LEMON LAW
The California Lemon Law was enacted to protect consumers who purchase or lease defective vehicles. California has among the strongest consumer protection and product liability laws of all 50 states. Vehicles that cannot be fixed under the manufacturers’ warranties and within a reasonable number of repair attempts are considered defective under California Lemon Law. The Lemon Law requires that auto manufacturers replace these vehicles, repurchase them or compensate the vehicles’ owners.
You have a defective new or used car, truck, SUV, RV or motorcycle.
Your vehicle’s defect substantially impairs the use, safety or value of the vehicle.
You have purchased or leased your new or used vehicle from a California auto dealer.
Your vehicle cannot be repaired by the dealer after a reasonable number of attempts.
The manufacturer or authorized facility cannot complete the repairs within 30 days.
