

Kamau Edwards began his career as a lawyer in San Francisco, CA, working in civil litigation, criminal law and personal injury before practicing automotive lemon law at Knight Law Group.
After graduating from the University of California Los Angeles, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and played for the UCLA Baseball team, Kamau turned his interests towards the law. In 1999, Kamau attended The Ohio State University College of Law where he excelled obtaining honors such as the Moritz Law Scholarship and a Public Service Fellowship. In 2002, Kamau earned his Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University College of Law and turned his attention toward real estate. In 2003, Kamau attended the University of Miami in Florida and earned an LL.M in Real Property Development while working at both City National Bank and the law firm of Holland and Knight.
Prior to joining Knight Law, Kamau worked for over 18 years as an attorney. In addition, Kamau has served as the First Chair in more than 19 civil trials and he has represented clients in more than 300 civil matters in cases throughout northern and southern California. From 2004-2015, Kamau represented clients at the San Francisco Legal Division of the Department of Transportation (Caltrans). From 2016-2017, Kamau was a solo practitioner specializing in civil litigation and criminal law. From 2017-2020, Kamau represented clients at the Los Angeles office of Hartsuyker, Stratman Williams-Abrego as the HEAT attorney (HIGH EXPOSURE ATTORNEY), where he represented clients with life threatening bodily injuries or significant legal questions. From 2020-2021, Kamau worked for Ardalan and Associates as a Senior Trial Attorney in personal injury matters.
