Ford is recalling more than 154,000 Ford vehicles with Takata airbags that have been previously recalled for airbag problems.

Ford said that, after these vehicles had their initial Takata airbag recall repairs completed, they had subsequent collision and theft repairs performed. However, obsolete Takata parts may have been installed during those subsequent repairs.

Affected Ford models with Takata airbags include:

• 2004–2011 Ford Ranger
• 2005–2014 Ford Mustang
• 2006 Ford GT
• 2008–2012 Ford Fusion
• 2009–2011 Mercury Milan
• 2010–2012 Lincoln MKZ
• 2007–2010 Ford Edge
• 2007–2010 Lincoln MKX

Some airbag modules were not removed from stock, and the recall will allow Ford to account for obsolete parts that were used in the repairs.

The recall begins March 8, during which notices will be sent to affected owners and lessees.
